Answer
The online (web/mobile) app includes its own backup tools under Tools >> Create Backup and Tools >> Restore Backup. Backups are saved as .LPB files and contain all companies and employees in your account.
Creating a Backup
- Navigate to Tools >> Create Backup.
- Click Create Backup.
- The app generates a timestamped .LPB file and downloads it to your computer automatically.

Restoring a Backup
- Navigate to Tools >> Restore Backup.
- Select a .LPB backup file from your computer.
- Click Upload & Restore.
- The restore process will overwrite all existing company data. Once complete, you are redirected to the entity selection screen.

Note: Backup restore is not available on trial accounts.
Reverting a Restore
If you need to undo a restore, go to Tools >> Revert Last Restored Backup. This rolls your data back to the snapshot taken immediately before your last restore or sync. The option is only available if a pre-restore snapshot exists.
Cloud-Based Online Backups
In addition to local backup files, the app supports saving backups to our secure cloud server. Go to Tools >> Online Backups to register, send a backup, or restore from the cloud. See How Can I Set Up Online Backups? for details.
