Answer
A Lightning Payroll trial gives you full access to payroll processing, employees, companies, pays, leave, and all paid add-ons (including HR Suite, Accounting Integration, and Farm Focus) for 30 days. The only features that are unavailable during a trial are those related to backup and restore:
What Is Restricted
- Restore a backup file ÔÇö restoring an existing .LPB backup is disabled on a trial. In the desktop app the restore option is greyed out in the menu; in the online (web/mobile) app the Restore Backup screen displays the message Restore Backup Not Available On Trial in place of the upload form.
- Online Backups ÔÇö sending or restoring data via the cloud Online Backups service is not available on a trial. In the desktop app the Online Backups menu item is disabled; in the online app the Online Backups screen shows Online Backups Not Available On Trial in place of the login form.
These restrictions exist to prevent trial accounts from being used as a free long-term storage service and to encourage customers to commit to a paid subscription before migrating production data.
What Is Available
- Creating and processing pays for an unlimited number of employees and companies
- All paid add-ons: HR Suite, Accounting Integration, and Farm Focus are fully unlocked during the trial
- Local (manual) backups ÔÇö you can still save a .LPB backup file to your computer at any time; you just cannot restore one until you are on a paid subscription
- All other payroll features including leave, superannuation, tax, reports, and payslips
Purchasing a Subscription
To unlock backup and restore and convert to a full subscription, visit lightningpayroll.com.au/buy-now. Any data entered during the trial is preserved ÔÇö you continue from where you left off.
