Employees can ask to cash up part of their annual holidays, subject to the Holidays Act 2003 limit of no more than one week in an entitlement year. Lightning Payroll tracks the available cash-up amount in weeks.
- Open Employees >> Leave >> Leave Entitlement Adjustments.
- Select Cash Up Annual Holidays.
- Review the remaining allowance shown in the dialog.
- Enter the number of weeks to cash up and submit the cash-up.
The cash-up is recorded as a leave ledger row and reduces the annual holidays balance. If the employee has already cashed up leave before moving to Lightning Payroll, review the balance breakdown and ledger rows before processing another cash-up.
