Use Bereavement in the pay's Leave Taken section when the employee is eligible and the absence is being paid as bereavement leave.
Enter the date and Quantity, and set the rate; the Value calculates automatically. Bereavement leave is paid only for days that would otherwise be working days, using the relevant daily pay or average daily pay approach that applies.
Lightning Payroll does not maintain a separate bereavement leave balance. If the employer provides more than the statutory entitlement, enter the extra paid leave rows according to the employer's decision and keep a clear description.
