Relevant Daily Pay and Average Daily Pay affect Public Holidays, Alternative Holidays, Sick Leave, Bereavement Leave, and Family Violence Leave.
- Use Relevant Daily Pay when the amount the employee would have earned on that day can be worked out.
- Use Average Daily Pay where allowed and where Relevant Daily Pay is not practical, or the employee's daily pay varies.
- For variable workers, check rosters, regular allowances, overtime patterns, commission, and other relevant earnings before accepting the pay-row amount.
Lightning Payroll defaults these leave rows to the employee's hourly rate and does not automatically convert to relevant daily pay or average daily pay. Override the rate on the leave row when the employer has calculated a different daily-pay amount; the Value recalculates automatically.
