Answer
For a closedown, enter the leave rows that match what the employee is actually being paid for during the closedown period.
- Use Annual Holidays for annual holidays taken during the closedown.
- Use Public Holiday for public holidays that fall on otherwise working days during the closedown.
- Use Unpaid only for unpaid closedown days where the employee is not being paid annual holidays or another paid leave type.
Public holidays during a closedown should not also deduct Annual Holidays. If the employee has not yet become entitled to annual holidays, confirm the legal treatment before using unpaid leave, holiday pay, or leave in advance.
