On-call public holiday treatment depends on whether the employee was called out, whether the day was otherwise working, and how restricted the employee was while on call.
- If the employee worked, pay the worked time at the required public holiday rate.
- If they are entitled to an Alternative Holiday, add a positive Alternative Holiday manual adjustment.
- If they only receive an on-call allowance, enter that allowance through the pay item the employer normally uses.
Lightning Payroll cannot decide the legal restriction test from the pay row. The employer must decide and record the basis for the Alternative Holiday entry.
