Answer
Eligible employees can receive up to 10 days of paid family violence leave each year. Lightning Payroll records Family Violence as pay rows; it does not maintain a separate automatic Family Violence balance in the leave adjustment ledger.
- Use the Family Violence leave type on the pay.
- Enter the date, unit, quantity, and rate. The total amount is calculated automatically from the quantity and rate.
- Keep a private employer record of how many days have been used in the year.
- Use neutral descriptions to protect the employee's privacy.
If the employer provides more than 10 days, enter the additional paid leave according to the employer's policy and keep the supporting record outside public-facing payslip text.
