The standard sick leave carry-over cap is 20 days unless the employee has a more generous entitlement. In the web app, a sick carry-over cap of 0 should be treated as the standard 20-day cap, not as permission to reduce the employee's carried-over sick leave to zero.
Use Employees >> Leave >> Leave Settings to set a higher cap only when the employment agreement or workplace policy provides more than the statutory minimum.
Use Balance Breakdown to compare the raw sick balance with the capped balance. If the breakdown shows Carry-over limit applied, the employee has more raw sick leave than the cap permits the web app to display as available.
