Use the normal statutory leave model for a full-time employee unless the employment agreement provides a higher entitlement.
- Open Employees >> Details >> Employment Dates and check the start date.
- Open Employees >> Leave >> Leave Settings.
- Set Annual holidays per year to 4 weeks unless the agreement gives more.
- Leave Pay annual holidays as you go off.
- Set ordinary hours per week, hours per working day, and the work pattern that reflects the days the employee normally works.
- Use the statutory sick leave settings unless the agreement is more generous: usually 6 qualifying months and a 20 day carry-over cap.
If the employee is migrated from another payroll system, add opening balances in Leave Entitlement Adjustments and import historic gross earnings if they are needed for AWE or OWP.
