When an employee moves between full-time, part-time, different rostered days, or materially different hours, update the leave settings before processing leave under the new pattern.
- Update ordinary hours per week and hours per working day in Leave Settings.
- Update the manual work pattern if the normal working days changed.
- Check the employee's pay rate and pay rates tab if the rate also changed.
- Use Balance Breakdown to review annual holidays in weeks and sick or alternative holidays in days.
Do not rewrite historical leave rows just because the employee's hours changed. Historical leave should keep the rate and unit that applied at the time. Use manual adjustments only for agreed corrections.
