For newly created, imported, or manually adjusted employees, Lightning Payroll uses a prospective-only entitlement floor so old anniversaries before the setup or opening-balance date are not automatically created again.
This prevents phantom backdated Annual Holidays or Sick Leave grants from being added on top of balances that were already brought across from another payroll system.
If the employee should have historical grants in Lightning Payroll, enter the correct opening balance or dated manual adjustments. Future grant items will appear from the floor date onward and are materialised automatically when pays are completed.
